'365 Virunga'

£1 a day for the rangers of Virunga National Park. Your £365 donation will be used to provide consistent support throughout the year.

It is equivalent to providing a ranger with a full set of uniform and paying his monthly salary for a year…..

You will receive:

• The 208 page, hard back book ‘Virunga’, edited by Emmanuel de Merode and Marc Languy. Emmanuel de Merode of now the Director of Virunga National Park, as of August 2008. This fabulous book describes past and present efforts to protect Virunga, Africa’s first National Park, designated in1925. It gives an overview of the wealth of habitats, the wildlife, including the gorillas, okapi, hippo and birds, and the world’s largest active volcanoes. 240 colour photographs and 60 maps give a breath taking insight into this most precious World Heritage Site – In Danger.

     Proceeds from this book go to support the widows of fallen rangers.

• A ‘365 Virunga’ certificate

  G-Bulletins are sent out 4 times per year with all the latest news from Virunga and G4G

• 8x10 photograph of one of the mountain gorillas in Mikeno
• The names (and optional photo / logo) of ‘365 Virunga’ supporters will be featured, in turn, on the home page of the G4G web site
• 4 x G–Bulletins per year giving updates on the situation in Virunga and news of projects, the gorillas and rangers
• G4G Annual Report

‘365 Virunga’ supporters can be individuals or companies. Either way, tax benefits can apply to this donation. If doing your own tax returns, the higher the rate of tax you pay, the less this donation would cost you.
