Latest pic of orphan ‘Kabila’
Kabila is doing well, although still small and quite fragile. She’s being looked after round the clock by a carer, who is a Congolese ranger, with veterinary advice from the Mountain Gorilla Veterinary Project (MGVP), based in Rwanda. Every two weeks the carer swops places with a second, so the former can take a break at home. When they swop over, they are carefully checked by a doctor to ensure no infections are taken into the facility.
