Ways to help…
Whilst the rangers are still unable to enter the forest to check on the gorillas, G4G must continue raising funds and equipment for the rangers. They had equipment stolen when the rebels took over their patrol posts and we are waiting to hear what else is now needed.
If you’d like to help in the run up to Xmas or into 2008, here are a few suggestions:
- if you fancy undertaking a sponsored activity to raise some funds, G4G is registered with justgiving.com You simply go onto the site yourself, pick G4G as your charity, put up the details of your activity/event and get your sponsors to donate online. www.justgiving.com even collects the Gift Aid bonus funds on behalf of G4G (an extra 0.28p in the pound from the taxman!)
- if you / friends shop online for presents, try doing so through the www.everyclick.com website. G4G is registered there too & it means that when you shop/buy online (at many of the big stores) the companies donate money to your chosen charity - pick G4G! Painless fundraising whilst doing the Xmas shopping!
- if you’re thinking of selling anything on ebay this Xmas (or at any time) G4G is registered there too. Proceeds of the sale or a percentage, can be donated to G4G. This will also help raise our profile when people look to see who we are!
